One school I trained in had an ICT department who didnt teach pupils but they followed a GCSE module of online learning and the teachers 'facilitated' the learning. The department got the worst results in the school by a long way. This is a worry, was it the teachers getting lazy due to the online learning, or was it the learning style making pupils realise they were being pushed forward?
This worries me, as you would expect ICT to be miles ahead.

Could it be that the design of the on line course allowed the pupils to be lazy, moving through the sections without completing and thus not being able to produce the final product?
