Can E Learning assist development

I think I was negative last time....

E-Learning I can see does have some good parts and think that whilst I would worry using it for the innitial teaching, I can definately see the benefits of using it to concrete pupil knowledge and fill in gaps in their own time.
Pupils would do homework with more enthusiasm possible if the IT is being used correctly and it could make homework monitoring easier for staff and and parents. In fact imagine automatic emails to parents if homework was not completed!!!!
