My biggest concerns about e learning are that I am not sure it is accessing the potential abilities and intelligences of all pupils. I definitely think some pupils would benefit from the increasing use of E learning because it will allow them to visualise concepts in science much better; work individually and in groups; use technology they are interested in.
However, I think in some ways, increased use of E learning in schools could actually decrease the quality of work done by pupils if it is not controlled and evaluated fully. I think technology needs to be brought in jointly by IT departments in order to allow pupils to start working with it successfully in other subjects and not just use internet resources to do tasks easily.
I think the use of E learning as assessment methods is potentially an excellent idea and I think to continue work through E learning at home to push gifted and talented pupils is an excellent idea.
